The First Time I Scored a Touchdown for the Pewaukee Pirates
The first time I scored a touchdown for our football team was most definitely the thing that made me smile the most. Imagine being a not so good football team and scoring three touchdowns in the last quarter, wouldn’t you be really happy.
Our defense was doing pretty good in the first half because we let Mukwonago only score fourteen points, which is pretty good for us because our team wasn’t good at all because of how much some of the kids messed around. Our team could be good if the kids that were just playing to be popular quit or went in at the last quarter, or some kids just tried harder and paid attention. If you watched our team during practice, a lot of kids mess around and they even do that during games.
Our black offence was starting in the first half and didn’t do so good. When we gained a good amount of yards, Mukwonago would hold us and we would end up with a turnover. Since black offence was in, red defense was out and I was on it. My coaches always used me for examples when no one could make a tackle because I wasn’t afraid to tackle anyone no matter how big they were. The red defense did pretty well, for only giving them 14 points.
When the first half was over our coach was pretty mad because most of the kids weren’t trying their best. The talk he gave us made me excited for the second half and it got me thinking really hard about the decisions I would make when I’m running. I had so much confidence in myself that all I did was think about the opening kickoff and what I would do. When Mukwonago kicked off to me, I took off as fast as I could. I broke Three tackles and made it to the outside, running sixty five yards for a touchdown. The whole team and crowd were cheering me on. After that I scored two more touchdowns and the game ended 21 to 19 because we only scored one extra point.
At the end of that game my coaches gave a speech and mostly talked about how I tried one hundred percent to score those three touchdowns. I had a smile on my face all day even though we didn’t win. All my friends talk about how I can juke and see where somebody is when I’m not even watching them. It’s kind of funny listening to them say,” how did you do that all the time “The day after that game every one would say,” hey touchdown boy or something like that, It confused me because I only scored three touch downs and most of the other teams score more than that every game.
The first time I scored a touchdown for my football team was most definitely the thing that made me smile the most. Be happy while the best moment of your life happens because it fades away fast.
