The Outsiders Big Family

What’s the most important thing you have? For most people it would be their family.

          In the story the outsiders the Greasers treat each other as family. The soc's also do that, but I’m going to focus on the Greasers. The greasers are a big gang of un wealthy teenagers that always grease their hair back. That’s where they get the name greasers from. The Socs are the rich people and jocks. Each of those to groups are basically huge families.

          The greasers are really close to each other and even though there not family they treat each other like family. They watch each other’s backs and make sure no one gets hurt. Dally one of the characters in the book “The Outsiders” is the toughest one in the gang. He makes sure no one gets in trouble because he doesn’t want them to end up like him.

          The reason that the greasers aren’t wealthy and smart is because there family was there for them and they probably couldn’t get a good education. A lot of them left their homes or their parents left them at early age. Imagine the impact that leave on the kid, he wouldn’t have as much knowledge as the soc’s because he wouldn’t be able to go to school.

Imagine leaving your family and having nowhere to go, these kids met each other and helped each other get through things. When you read The Outsiders you’ll notice that they protect each other all the time. Family helps with a lot of things and makes you feel safer. If you had a big family like the characters from the outsiders you would feel a lot safer and cared about.

Family is defiantly the most important thing to a lot of people.

Cause and Effect

The Greasers don't like the socs and the socs don't like the greasers. Since they don't like each other fights will break out or as they say "A rumble". When pony boy Is walking home from the movies he gets beat up by some socs, Dally, Darry, Soda, and To Bit come to help him out. In one part of the book jonny stabs a soc and kills him because he was drowning pony boy.

The meaning of "The Outsiders"

The title "The Outsiders" is a good title for the book because it means like there not apart of the town there just there own little group. I think of outsiders as outcasts or people that aren't known in the town. The title outsiders goes really good with the book because everybody in it is in a gang and poor.   A lot of them live with each other because they don't have homes. There also not liked by a lot of people.

Dally

Dally is the toughest person in pony boys group. Unlike anybody else Dally doesn't grease his hair. He looks muscular and has black hair.He is the toughest out of the group and is in a gang. I think he seems like hes nice and mean because he was kind of like a gangster in new York but otherwise hes nice  .
